Mr Patel said that the PM after pushing the button to start the flow of water from the dam was looking at it. ‘While doing so he suddenly noticed that several cameramen and photographers were standing on the downstream side. The strong flow of water released a little while ago was racing towards them and could have washed them away. The cameramen and photographers busy taking photographs of the event were seemingly unaware of it. But the PM by clapping his hand and with other gesture alerted them and they ran away in time,’ the deputy CM said.
