Police tried to stop the man on Saturday on an off-ramp of a major roadway in Miami from gnawing on the other man's head after he managed to eat half of it. Police shot the man thinking it would end the attack, but the aggressor continued to devour the victim prompting authorities to fire at least half a dozen shots until he died. The victim is in hospital fighting to survive with critical injuries. The naked man and the victim have not been identified. A woman notified a police officer nearby that she had seen two men fighting, witnesses told The Miami Herald. A series of gunshots had been heard at the off-ramp of the MacArthur Causeway along North 13th Street. When the officer located the two men, the naked male was in the process of chewing the victim's face, the Herald reported. The officer demanded that the naked man stop. But when he refused to listen and continued to feast on the victim, the officer shot the naked man, according to the newspaper. Despite his new wounds, the attacker still managed to continue munching on the victim. Upon seeing this, the officer fired at least a half a dozen more shots, witnesses told the newspaper. The multiple gunshot wounds killed the naked man. He was killed face down on a walkway for pedestrians right by the Herald's parking garage. MacArthur Causeway is a major route that connects downtown Miami to popular South Beach. Traffic clogged the area for hours as people used the route to descend into South Beach for Urban Beach Week, an annual festival dedicated to hip-hop music.
