The 37-year-old was shot dead by Baton Rouge Police outside a convenience store early Tuesday, with video from a witness showing police tackling him to the ground before gunshots are heard. One of the officers in the clip shouts “gun” before the shots, though store owner Abdullah Mulfahi told the Daily News that Sterling’s hand was not near his gun and the weapon later recovered from his pocket was not visible.
