Idina Menzel offered audience members the chance to join her in singing “Let It Go,” from the Oscar-winning animated film FROZEN, onstage at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. The impromptu auction raised $4,800 for Broadway Cares. Many thanks to Idina, the cast of If/Then for joining the auction winners onstage, the stage managers, Marco Paguia and the If/Then orchestra, and the entire crew and front-of-house staff for enthusiastically giving of their time to make this incredible experience possible. “The cold never bothered me anyway!” Collections for Gypsy of the Year will take place at Broadway, off-Broadway and national touring productions across the country from until December 7, 2014. After performances, cast members and volunteers will be holding Broadway Cares’ signature red buckets, collecting donations to help support for AIDS and family service organizations in all 50 states. Broadway's best and brightest will then celebrate their efforts with join for two rousing, emotional and heart-pounding editions of the 26th Annual Gypsy of the Year Competition on Monday, December 8 and Tuesday, December 9 at Broadway’s New York City’s New Amsterdam Theatre.
