This is the moment a suspected armed robber escaped from jail by jumping through a window after officers had been distracted. Derrick Estell — said by cops to be "violent, dangerous and extremely aggressive" — was caught on camera leaping through a service hatch before sprinting to a parking lot and climbing into a waiting car. Surveillance footage shows the 33-year-old talking on a phone inside Garland County Jail in Hot Springs, Ark., on Sunday afternoon. Being watched over by two cops, they were allegedly distracted by his accomplice, William Harding, so he could make his escape. They ran after him as he jumped into the vehicle, but failed to stop him from being driven off. The car was found dumped minutes later, with no sign of Estell or his alleged getaway driver, Tamara Upshaw. Harding was arrested for the alleged distraction, reports Arkansas Online. Upshaw and Estell, who faces a slew of charges for allegedly stealing a truck and going on the run in March, are still being hunted by cops.
