  • description: Tired of washing and scrubbing the Toilet Bowl? Meet the Loogun, a more environmental friendly toilet cleaner. Published on Wednesday 1st July 2015 on CLEANINGASIA.com. Meet the Loogun. It is a home-based motorised hand-held device that cleans the toilet using nothing but a spray of water. Based in London, the company behind this ingenious invention, is founded by founders Calan Horsman and Henry Chamberlain. They are part of a team of 5 engineers and product designers. The Loogun will be launched in the UK by Kickstarter on 4th July and will start shipping to their backers in January 2016. The product as seen above is marketed as a hygenic, child friendly and chemical free way to clean your toilet bowl. It claims it is so child friendly that it becomes a water gun your baby can play with it. Aesthetics wise it looks pretty pleasing to the eye. As a hand held motorised device, it is sated to be able to spray a stronger jet into the toilet to clean stubborn marks off submerged surfaces with ease. It never touches the toilet so the device stays beautifully hygienic and enjoyable to use. The neutral and sleek design looks good in any bathroom. It’s simple to use, requires no installation, and uses 4 x AA batteries which itself has a lifespan of 9 months if you only use it once a day. The reservoir holds 300ml of clean water, enough for around 6 uses, and it detaches with a simple click to make it easy to fill under any tap. The Loogun team has spent 2 years in design and engineering, and have utility and design patents pending in 29 countries. To help fund the production costs, the team are aiming to raise £40,000 through a Kickstarter campaign that starts Tuesday, 30th June and will run for 40 days. The Loogun is stated to retail for £27.00 in the UK. In local currency, that's almost S$57.00 before GST in Singapore, or 158 Malaysian Ringgit, 1,430 Thai Baht, 563, 370.95 Rupiah and 920,419.47 Vietnamese Dong.
