In the video, which was captured on security cameras, the pooch can be seen running towards vehicles every time one approaches perhaps thinking its owner was back. It can then be seen curling up on the roadside when on each occasion it is not the dog's owner returning. The footage was captured at a toll booth in Zhejiang Province, China, last month. According to local reports, the dog escaped when it jumped unnoticed from the owner's car while queuing for the toll booth. A police officer saw the dog and took it home before posting an appeal for the owner to come forward on popular Chinese social platform Wechat. Police have since reportedly found the dog temporary care and the search for its home continues.
