The 'Honda Fit She's' recently launched in Japan. Honda's designers claimed that they wanted to make the regular Fit subcompact 'adult cute'. Going along with the theme for ladies, the car seats and steering wheel contain pink stitching. Pink metallic surrounds the controls and there's a logo on the side of the car that simply states "she's" with a pink heart serving as the apostrophe. There is also a "Plasmacluster" air conditioning unit along with a windshield that blocks 99 percent of ultraviolet rays, both of which are said to protect or improve the driver's skin. Automakers have had trouble designing the perfect women's car without being stereotypical. In the 1950s, Chrysler launched the pink and lavender 'Dodge LaFemme'. Along with the feminine décor, it came with a pink purse, umbrella and compact, but sales weren't too great. Then in 2004, Volvo introduced the idea of a women's vehicle called 'Your Concept Car', but never sent it to production. Do you think we need cars designed just for women?
