- description: The ASUS Republic of Gamers Maximus V Extreme is our flagship Z77 Chipset Motherboard that can run third generation Ivy Bridge and Sandy Bridge Intel Processors. I had the unique opportunity to be view the board first before we sent it out to the reviewers and I must say, this board is so easy to overclock and is a dream to use with the i7 3770K! I managed 5GHZ on air without too many difficulties other than temperature of course and had I more time with the board and some proper cooling, I most certainly would have gone further.
