Imagine if an arachnophobe found themselves in this house? An extraordinary clip has emerged on social media of an apparently abandoned house overrun with spiders. A worker in Mexico City captured the terrifying footage and uploaded it to Facebook with the caption: "Are you afraid of spiders? Check this" Thousands and thousands of eight-legged creatures can be seen all over the derelict room. At several points, a 'ball' of spiders appears to fall from the ceiling before disintegrating into a new team of scurrying critters. Mikel Maas, who made the video, suggested to friends he filmed the clip while working. He said some of the spiders had fallen on his head and back but they were "harmless". Friends suggested the footage is like a scene from a horror film but brave Mikel appears to have remained calm. "The risks I run at work," he wrote. "In the office and outside of it! haha!"
