- description: This video seriously makes me laugh SO much so i just had to upload it raw too :L:L:L and i know i'm gonna get crap about 'hauling' him or whatever but if you knew HOW difficult this horse is to stop from drifting round corners and ending up miles to the fence side of the jump when he's in this mood you would realise that inverting his head is the only option, especially if he's run out like this. He was put back on meal last week and it really wakes him up and makes him test me, he is so hard to ride, I'm not even exaggerating. You can see that when we jump i release straight away, but riding young horses when they test you like this isn't about looking pretty, it's about making sure they jump and don't get the better of you so i don't care what your opinions are on my methods till you've ridden my horse. He needed to be held into the fence with his head turned away from the escape route or he would have made a habit out of running out the side. He's getting his teeth done on monday and i'm hoping it's gonna fix this 'drifting' thing because it's definitely not like him, it's something he's got into recently and I have a feeling it's maybe his teeth because it feels like he's evading the bit even though for a while there he was going beautifully. Won't be riding him till after monday now!
