- description: Six months ago I started a journey that would change my life forever. I asked my parents and Marley's parents for permission to take Marley's hand in marriage. We have always shared a love for kids, with her being a teacher and I a youth worker. I decided that what better way to ask her but with the one thing that makes her happy. I approached an amazing choreographer Jade (from Jade's Hip Hop Academy -- http://jadeshiphopacademy.com) and told her about my crazy vision of having 100 dancers in the mall performing for a wedding proposal. At first it was crazy, but Jade took the challenge and ran with it. While Jade was working with her kids (ages 7-17), I wanted to go even bigger. I continually asked around to see how big I could do this for her. The GAP took my crazy ideas and agreed to let me use their store as the starting point for the dance. They embraced me and the amazing dancers allowing us to dance on tables and even dressed a few of our kids in their apparel. With the stage set so well, my Web Designer and Videographer Matthew (from Meticulous Design Studios -- http://DesignYourSoul.com) suggested to reach out to Canon and ask if they would help us to capture this moment. With all the doors opening, I took the challenge and went to the Canon's head office in Mississauga with my story. Once again I was fortunate to meet some amazing staff who never once questioned me while at the same time constantly helping out in any way that they could. The date and time was set for May 26th, 2012, 3:00pm. With the stage set, and all plans now in place, the last thing to do was figure out how to get her to the GAP store. Family and friends were asked to bring one rose each so she could have a bouquet of love from the people who supported us along our journey. The excitement was too much and the word spread too fast because by the time she was making her way to the store, she was surrounded by hundreds of people waiting to see the show. By the end of the routine we had approximately 1500+ people around the dancers cheering and screaming. Thank you to everyone who helped in anyway. I cannot find words to express my gratitude to the great people and businesses of Mississauga for opening their arms to Marley and myself. It has always been my promise to Marley to always raise the bar with every moment I get and this had to be the one to remind her that she is my special Princess. TO MARLEY: I love you, adore you, admire you, appreciate you, and anticipate the moment when I can call you my wife. I always knew I had something special. I just needed a stage and a place to show it ;) Groom to be: Orville Edwards - Major Move (http://MajorMove.ca) Choreography: Jade Jager - Jades Hip Hop Academy (http://JadesHipHopAcademy.com) Video by: Matthew Pompey - Meticulous Design Studios (http://DesignYourSoul.com)
