- description: In June 2013 Geovert were contracted by NZTA to remove a 2000 tonne unstable granite pinnacle from 900m above the Homer Tunnel in Milford Sound, New Zealand. The blast was specifically designed to maximise the fragmentation to reduce the impact on the tunnel portal below. The removal was very successful resulting in the only road to Milford Sound reopening.
