- description: Hey guys, My name is Taila Johnston and Im from Arkles Bay, Hibiscus Coast. I am standing for the local board this year because I think its important to have a youthful perspective on the decisions for our community. I have lived here for 11 years and I am very thankful to live and grow up in such a beautiful place. I support many ideas as a local board member and I am open minded and willing to listen to everyone's opinions, however personally i think: 1. Penlink needs to happen as soon as possible to fix our traffic problems that are continuously rising in Silverdale. 2. Increasing local job opportunities and activities for youth, to keep them off the streets and out of trouble. 3. Protecting the natural environment is also important, holding our reputation for a clean green NZ is something i wish to see in many generations to come.
