- description: CCTV footage has just been released relating to the on-going Old Bailey trial of Tony McCluskie, 35, for the alleged murder of his sister Gemma, 29, a former EastEnders actress, in Tower Hamlets. McCluskie admits killing Miss McCluskie, but denies murder. McCluskie's best-known role was as Kerry Skinner in the BBC soap opera EastEnders, which she played for a year (2000--2001). In the soap, McCluskie's character was a close friend of Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) and the great-niece of Ethel Skinner (Gretchen Franklin). She also had a part in the series No Sweat playing a bully named Janis. Both counsels and the Judge have given authority for media to use the footage at this stage in proceedings. The first clip 1/3 (ref Mdr15-12CCTVtaxi) allegedly shows the defendant dragging a large bag into the boot of a taxi. A second clip 2/3 (ref Mdr15-12CCTVcanal) allegedly shows the defendant dragging a large bag along the Regents canal - this footage is poor quality.
