But one nation has taken the unusual step of continuing to have schools, shops and pubs open, albeit with some social distancing measures. Sweden’s Chief Epidemiologist Anders Tegnell maintains this is the right approach for the Swedish people, but the decision is not with its detractors. And more than 2000 people have died of Covid-19 there, compared to a combined total of fewer than 800 from neighbours Denmark, Norway and Finland - all of whom locked down.
