Chinese Athlete Hits Every Hurdle During Race

- description: The man was taking part in the 110 metres hurdles event at the Chinese University Games recently. But it is fair to say things didn't go exactly to plan for the young athlete. Straight from the start he failed to clear the first hurdle and clipped the top of it. He made even more of a hash of the second, knocking it heavily which almost caused him to fall over as he veered into his fellow competitor's lane. Hitting hurdles is nothing new and even the professionals often clip them. But sadly for this competitor, things didn't improve. In fact, they got much, much worse. Clearly fed up, he decided he was going to ignore the hurdles all together and instead of jumping them decided to run through them. Initially this tactic appeared to work and the athlete - whose dedication you can't fault - built up quite a speed. But after smashing into one hurdle, it became wrapped around his neck, causing him to lose balance and fall back into his competitor's lane again. However, clearly determined to finish, he dusted himself down to continue the race. He smashed into the penultimate hurdle and as he approached the final hurdle attempted to jump it. But, as with the rest of the race, he couldn't quite manage it. He then limped over the line but incredibly managed to not finish last. It's fair to say he probably had a few bruises on his chest the following morning.
