Convergence of Baltic and Norts Seas One of the most unusual things to see with relation to oceans is the convergence of the Baltic and North Seas. The convergent point, located in the Denmark province of Skagen, is extremely prominent when looking down at the waters. The cause of the distinctive line is the different density rates for the two seas. 2. Brinicles Brinicles are another natural occurrence in the depths of the ocean. When frozen ice forms of the surface of the ocean, the concentrated salt water makes its way under the surface. The highly concentrated salt ends up freezing in the frigid waters, which forms the brinicles. They are most commonly located in the waters near the North and South poles. 1. Pyrosome The pyrosome is an unusual looking phenomenon found in the water. Some say it looks like a massive condom. The reality is, this unusual looking creature found in the water is not just one huge creature it is actually many. A pyrosome is the result of hundreds of sea creatures, or zooids, joined together. These small creatures join and filter water so they gather and then consume plankton. The expelling of waste pushes them forward adding more zooids to the pyrosome.
