- description: Hi all, my headset is broken, should get a new one tomorow from Logitech ;D So, I just came home and someone notified me that Swiftkit has been hacked once you click on "play runescape" it will ask you to run a java application DO NOT RUN THE JAVA APPLICATION FROM THE UNKOWN PUBLISHER. IT'S MOSTLIKELY A RAT, WHICH WILL INFECT YOUR COMPUTER AND WILL HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR SYSTEM. SYSTEM RESTORE YOUR COMPUTER IF YOUVE CLICKED ON RUN if you've logged in AFTER youve run the application, RESTORE YOUR COMPUTER FIRST, THEN change your password and recovery questions ASAP. Open Start 2. In search, type "regedit" and hit Enter 3. Navigate to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows" using the folder dropdowns. 4. If there is a file or entry in the Windows folder called "Adobe Drivers", than you are infected and you require removal. If it doesn't exist, you are not infected. Removal: 1. Right-click the taskbar and select "Start task manager" 2. In the Processes tab, end any process named "winsyl.exe" 3. In the Registry Editor window you still should have open, right-click the "Adobe Drivers" folder and select Delete 4. Open Windows Explorer, enter in the URL %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\ 5. Delete the folder "Drivers" 6. As a safety measure, run a full system scan using a reputable anti-virus such as MSE. ********************************************************************************** . **UPDATE(2nd of june:) if you run Swiftkit from now on (the first time) It wiill pop up a message about an EXEfixer, according to this topic, written by strider (the official maker of SK) this is an extra protection update on top of the old one so that shit wont happen again, you can accept this, its safe. http://forums.zybez.net/topic/1557120-latest-swiftkit-update/ According to Mastermrz: The domain got hacked and was sold to someone on the BugAbuse forums which they setted up the deface page.
