Society must choose between meeting the demands of a few noisy adults or honouring the birth-right of all children, wherever possible, to the love of their own mother and their own father. We must not steal from children - again - the identity and belonging that comes with being connected to the man and woman who gave them life. That is what is at stake with laws for gay marriage, which would deliberately create motherless and fatherless families.
