- description: On September 12th 2013 I flew on the world's shortest scheduled air route, a 2 mile flight between Papa Westray & Westray in Scotland's Orkney Islands. The flight was operated by a Loganair BN-2 Islander, that seats a maximum of 9 passengers, I was lucky enough to get a seat in the front row of the passenger section. I was timed the flight & the Airborne time was 1 min 19 seconds!
