  • description: The UK parliament will stay open – despite a health minister testing positive for coronavirus, and a further two ministers deciding to self-isolate. The Health Secretary Matt Hancock said the government would continue to work closely with the House of Parliament authorities to monitor the situation. He said that the peak of the UK outbreak was expected "in a matter of a couple of months". The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the UK has now reached 460, after the biggest rise in a single day. It comes as two more people with the virus died in the UK, bringing the total to eight. Italy has announced tighter restrictions on people moving around, that will come into force on Thursday morning. All stores, except for pharmacies and food shops, will be shut in a desperate bid to halt the spread of the coronavirus that has killed 827 in the country in just over two weeks. Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte announced the latest wave of restrictions in a TV address to the 60 million Italian residents already under ‘stay-at-home’ restrictions. Presented by Huw Edwards, with contributions from Italy Correspondent Mark Lowen and Health Editor Hugh Pym.
