- description: We are hearing from the local media in Damascus that indeed two foreign jets, allegedly Turkish, have been detected in the skies over the Syrian Mediterranean port of Latakia, but we've been receiving conflicting reports on exactly what happened to them. Some reports claim that one of the jets was indeed shot down, while others report that one of the airplanes just made an emergency landing. The second plane is thought to have escaped. This is all we have and again we are hearing that from local media while we haven't been receiving any official confirmation or any official comment from the Syrian or Turkish sides. On the other hand we are hearing from Turkish media as well about the country's airplane crash over the Mediterranean Sea without specifying the details and without specifying the location where it happened, after radio and radar signals were lost with the plane. We also have information that the Turkish forces are right now launching the operation to find this missing plane and this is actually all we have so far.
