The victim, named only as Ms Lin,suffered severe burns to large parts of her body in the incident, which took place at a restaurant called the Hot Pot. Ms Lin, 29, was eating at a branch of 'Mr Hot Pot' restaurant with family members in Wenzhou, in eastern China on August 24 when she reportedly began arguing with the waiter over the amount of water added to her hotpot.The waiter, aged just 17,has been identified only by his surname Zhu. Following the confrontation, the teenager is alleged to have gone into the kitchen before carrying a plastic container filled with boiling water back to the table. He then threw it over Ms Lin, badly injuring her face and body. The CCTV footage then apparently shows him tugging the woman backwards on her chair, banging her head against and counter and kicking her.The waiter was then restrained by other customers. She was taken to hospital where photographs of her injury reveal extensive damage to her skin. Her condition is currently stable. Police has arrested Mr Zhu, who has admitted to the act.
