Officials say Xavier Washington is seen in surveillance video slamming an officer onto his back and repeatedly punching him while in a holding cell at the jail. The attack happened after investigators say the officer warned Washington to stop being disruptive and then pepper sprayed him. Officials say Washington was originally being booked for violation of probation. He is now facing charges of battery on a law enforcement officer.
