Συγκεκριμένα, στο 68’ ο νεαρός μέσος των Κρητικών ήταν στο έδαφος και περίμενε να του παρασχεθούν οι πρώτες βοήθειες από το ιατρικό τιμ. Την ίδια στιγμή οι τραυματιοφορείς του αγώνα τον έβαλαν στο φορείο, αλλά ένας εξ αυτών σκόνταψε με αποτέλεσμα να πέσει και μαζί του ο Κούτρης. Σαν να μην έφταναν όλα αυτά, ο ίδιος τραυματιοφορέας στη δεύτερη προσπάθεια να μεταφέρει εκτός αγωνιστικών γραμμών τον παίκτη των Κρητικών, είχε αφήσει το μισό σώμα του 20χρονου στον αέρα και τον άλλο μισό στο φορείο και όταν με τα πολλά τον έφερε στη γραμμή του άουτ, άφησε το φορείο εντελώς άγαρμπα!
