- description: On April 14th, our heavenly family set another place at the table. Jason faced many struggles in his young life and we hope that he has finally found peace. We find comfort knowing he had others there to welcome and embrace him. Soar with the angels dear nephew, free from all life's tribulations. We have gained another angel that we know. For when someone you love is in heaven, there is a piece of heaven in your home. Hearing the news was a shock, but it didn't really hit home until his name was spoken on the local news. As one sits trying to make sense of it all, you realise it can never be rationalized. It is hard enough to deal with loss when you watch a heart attack or a disease like cancer take a loved one. Diseases & accidents, as hard as they are, with time can be accepted as God's will.To know that this one was taken by the hand of another human being makes it harder to accept. It is difficult to see murder as part of God's master plan. Will we ever know the full story? Do the details of the story matter? Nothing can justify ending another person's life. He isn't just a name in a news headline. He was an integral part of our family. He was a son, a brother, a grandson, an uncle, a nephew, a cousin and a friend. He may not have always been on the right path but he had a kind soul & the ability to turn his life around. Someone else took away the chance to make amends and his opportunity to take a different path. No one had a right to do that to another person. We are not a vindictive family but hopefully justice will be served. So many questions...so few answers.
