- description: A man was brutally attacked as he enjoyed a night out with his friends in Manchester city centre. It happened at about 3am on Sunday 21 July 2013, when four friends were drinking at Baby Platinum bar on Princess Street. They were sat around a table when two of the friends walked away and a group of men walked over and sat down at their chairs. When the two friends returned there was a brief altercation between the two groups and one of the men punched the 38-year-old man who had remained with the seats in the face. He then kicked him several times in the face causing his cheek to shatter. Police have now issued CCTV footage of the incident. The offender is described as white, mid 20s, medium build, short dark hair. Detective Constable Jon Davies from north Manchester division, said: "As you can see from the footage this was an unprovoked senseless attack on a man enjoying a night out with his friends. "The victim was kicked so hard in the face it shattered his cheek this could have easily ended in tragedy all over a petty discussion over chairs. "The images from inside the bar are very clear and I believe someone will know who this person is. "If you recognise the images, description or you were one of the people who witnessed the incident, I would ask you to contact police."
