The 22-year-old beat our 87 other contestants from around the world to take home the crown at the 63rd annual pageant. Vega is currently a student studying business administration and comes from a large family; she has eight brothers and sisters. The pageants leading up to Miss Universe were the first beauty contests she ever participated in. The big show was hosted by "Today's" Natalie Morales and featured a three-song medley by Nick Jonas, along with additional performances by Gavin DeGraw and Prince Royce. Kristin Cavallari, Emilio Estefan, Nina Garcia, DeSean Jackson, William Levy, Manny Pacquiao, Louise Roe and Lisa Vanderpump made up the judging panel.
