Full Story: A plucky four-year old Chihuahua named Honey is now a local hero after saving his owner's eight-year old granddaughter from a pit bull attack. Jenna Desrocher was in a backyard on Tuesday when her neighbor's pit bull broke free from its enclosure and started mauling her. Honey immediately intervened and drew the aggressive dog away from the little girl, distracting it temporarily. The pit bull's owner then managed to drag the dog by its collar and brought it inside. Jenna will need hours of surgery, but her grandmother says it could have been much worse if Honey had not sprung into action. [Anne Marie Desrochers, Owner of Chihuahua]: "They say she's got a few hundred stitches up here. Her eye was split right open like the eyelid right across and then she's got another wound here on her head." The pit bull's owner has agreed to put the dog down.
