The bigger the emotions I wish to convey, the longer it takes to create a song that can hold them. This song was a battle of letting go—because I wanted the story and emotions to come through clearly. I hoped that the gradually emerging, small and intricate sounds, layered one by one, would allow the feelings embedded in the song to be felt. Throughout the processes of writing, composing, and arranging, I minimized flashy techniques as much as possible, which required a considerable amount of courage. The lyrics were completed with the heart of writing a letter—someone sincerely wishing for your everyday safety and well-being. In this song, I imagined myself not as a hero in the brightest of moments, but as a small hero protecting the ordinary days.
