- description: BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A man fell onto the tracks at North Station Wednesday night. The MBTA said a customer approached an MBTA employee shortly after 9 p.m. to report that someone was on the tracks. The employee notified the Orange Line dispatcher who immediately directed trains in the vicinity to stop. Within in a couple of minutes of falling onto the tracks, the man was helped out by some customers. According to the MBTA, the man was never in danger of being hit by a train. The MBTA is reminding people about a new safety campaign they launched earlier this month, urging commuters to stay behind the yellow tactile warning strips on platform edges. The "Safety Bounce" video also reminds customers to stay behind the yellow-colored platform edges.
