We've had a promising start to the season, with snow flurries dusting the resort and temperatures dropping enough for our awesome snow making team to get the guns firing. Opening weekend was full of fun, with hundreds of snow lovers making the trip up the mountain to welcome in the season. As always, the fireworks display was a highlight of the weekend. There's been enough cover on Bourke Street for plenty of snow play, including toboggan races and the odd snowball fight. We've had two lifts turning for most of the week, with Bourke Street Carpet open for skiing and boarding. Blue Bullet has been open for sightseeing. First-timer lessons have also begun, with many beginners taking the opportunity to get a head start on peak-season shredders. A big shout out to everyone who has been breaking out their best snow dance moves as your hard work was rewarded on Friday with the start of some promising snowfall. To compensate for arriving a touch late for the opening-week party, the snow looks to be setting in. We're expecting sub-zero temperatures early next week, which Chris assures me will bring more snowfall to the resort. Check in with the snow reporting each day for up-to-date information.
