Little over an hour into the flight from Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Los Angeles, the pilot was forced to return to the same airport from which they took off. Travellers on the Delta Air Lines flight watch as several police board and aggressively subdue the 'disruptive' couple before escorting them off in handcuffs. In footage from a passenger's phone, the man bows his head as they are marched through the aisle, but his partner snaps at the officers, protesting her innocence. There are cat-calls of 'you're going to jail' as tensions bubble over on the delayed flight yesterday evening. Pat Hogan, of the Metropolitan Airports Commission, said the couple were being 'disruptive' and not following the instructions of staff. Hogan said the FBI was probing the midair ruckus because it was unclear in which jurisdiction the air rage incident took place. The couple are being held in custody and questioned by Federal agents, fox9.com reports. It is understood the plane was eventually able to take off for the second time in one day from Minneapolis and reach California. _Mirror Delta flight diverted back to MSP for couple fighting midair A Delta flight from Minneapolis to Los Angeles was diverted back to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport after a couple began fighting with the flight crew midair. Photo courtesy of Patrick Whelan. BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (KMSP) - A Delta flight from Minneapolis to Los Angeles was diverted back to the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport Wednesday night after a couple began fighting with the flight crew midair. The flight took off from MSP Airport at 6:20 p.m. and returned at 7:25 p.m. after the flight crew reported that a couple was being disruptive and not obeying their orders, Metropolitan Aiports Commission spokesperson Pat Hogan said. When the flight landed back at MSP, airport police officers boarded the plane and detained the couple. They are currently in custody and are still being questioned. Passengers report the plane has since taken off for Los Angeles. A passenger who captured a video of some of the incident said the woman got up shortly after take off to use the bathroom and the flight attendant told her to sit down. (Video courtesy of Patrick Whalen) Airport police and the FBI are investigating the incident. Hogan says the FBI investigates anytime there is a jurisdictional issue, such as when an incident occurs while the plane is up in the air. _fox9 Disruption during Delta flight sends plane back to MSP; couple arrested The plane was in the air on its way to Los Angeles when it turned back to the Twin Cities. A man and woman disrupted a Delta flight Wednesday evening soon after it left the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport for Los Angeles, and the upheaval sent the airliner back to MSP, an airport official said. Flight 2565 left about 6:20 p.m. only to show up back at the Twin Cities airport at 7:35 p.m., said MSP spokesman Patrick Hogan. “The flight crew reported a disorderly couple on board not obeying flight crew instructions,” Hogan said. Delta spokesman Ashton Morrow added that the couple “became aggressive and created a disruption in the cabin.” Neither spokesman was able to reveal what got the man and woman riled up in the first place. Airport police identified the man as Blake A. Fleisig, 35, of Los Angeles and the woman as Anna C. Koosmann, 36, of Edina. Court and jail records also list her as being from Los Angeles. Koosmann was cited for disorderly conduct and obstructing the legal process. Fleisig was cited for disorderly conduct. Both were booked in jail and released. Once the airliner was back at MSP, several police officers came aboard to escort the two off after handcuffing them, a video shot by a passenger and posted on YouTube showed. Just when it looked like the commotion in the plane had subsided, the man briefly broke free while being led up the aisle and appeared to go after a seated passenger, the 98-second video showed. Officers took Fleisig to the floor and shouted “stay down!” along with other commands, the video revealed. “Her boyfriend attacked somebody back there,” one passenger could be heard saying. As Koosmann was led by police off the plane, someone said, “You’re already going to jail.” Koosmann replied, “Why? For what? For what?” _startribune
